TGIF Weekly 11

T . G. I. F.  Weekly

Welcome ! This is where I will share 3 books I have on my to-read list.  These are books I have gotten my hands on, pulled aside and are therefore my top reading choices of the moment.
My goal is to read at least one or more of them between today and the following Friday and make progress with the others.  Books may be fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels or anything else that might by fun or interesting to read.
Please Note that this will probably be the last TGIF WEEKLY.  I am looking to sign under It's Monday! What are you Reading hosted by Book Journey  in the future to get more involved with others.  Unless anyone objects?  Any opinions, please voice them.

The Elite (The Selection, #2)
"Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in the Selection. All but six have been sent home. And only one will get to marry Prince Maxon and be crowned princess of Illea.

America still isn’t sure where her heart lies. When she’s with Maxon, she’s swept up in their new and breathless romance, and can’t dream of being with anyone else. But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, and is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.

Just when America is sure she’s made her choice, a devastating loss makes her question everything again. And while she’s struggling to imagine her future, the violent rebels that are determined to overthrow the monarchy are growing stronger and their plans could destroy her chance at any kind of happy ending."

 The Guidance (Ghost Huntress, #2)
"Kendall and her ghost hunting team is the talk of Radisson, Georgia, but one person isn’t so pleased. Courtney Langdon doesn’t appreciate Kendall’s new popularity or her relationship with Jason, Courtney’s ex. So Courtney begins dabbling in the paranormal world. At first it’s all a game to draw attention away from Kendall. But Courtney doesn’t know what she’s getting into—or what wants in her. This is one game that’s about to turn deadly serious."

Time to continue this series.  Normally, it would not be a priority read, but it is  borrow from another library district so I have a very limited time to read it.

King Solomon's Wives: Addicted
"In the aftermath of a brutal, coordinated attack by male Hunters, the descendants of King Solomon’s harem have gone into hiding. Terrified, hungry, and mourning the loss of their Sisters, they live in fear and isolation, trying to avoid capture and hoping to find a way to reach each other.

Unaware of their plight is Sonya, a rogue Wife who ran away to Las Vegas when she violated the clan’s cardinal rule: falling in love with a man. Now married and coping with her husband’s addiction to the chemicals in her skin, Sonya lives in self-made exile, knowing that if they are discovered, the clan will punish her and kill her husband Ashe.

But when Wives turn up in Vegas held hostage by Hunters, Sonya can only save them by revealing herself, potentially sacrificing her freedom...and Ashe’s life.

Her family, her conscience, and thousands of years of historical bonds are at stake. And once again, Sonya will have to choose between duty and love."
The publisher was kind enough to send me the second installment of this story.  or 'Episode' as they are now called.
